Those of us working to build and grow design teams seem to be working with opposing forces. We embed our designers in autonomous agile teams and also need to bring them together to design a unified customer experience. We are hiring for a variety of skill sets and also working toward a team that can get well and communicate easily. We create systems to unify the designs of our product, to move fast knowing we need to leave enough space for exploration and change. Not to mention balancing between customer and business needs.
How can we manage their opposites successfully? There are no easy answers, however Bojana will be sharing some of her experiences and lessons learned in navigating these seemingly opposite goals.
