Jason Lewis has 17 years of design and technology experience helping launch multiple startups as a founding-team member as well as scaling teams & processes post-acquisition.

Currently, he is the Senior Director of User Experience with the Advisory Board company’s healthcare & technology division where he established a diverse team of 40+ frontend engineers and user experience professionals to support 10+ product lines valued at ~$500M in revenue annually. Products designed and supported by the UX team’s efforts generated $1B in client-validated ROI in 2016. After serving as their UX leader for 13+ years, in an effort to return to a startup pace, Jason recently moved into a strategic role serving as an expert consultant and designer for mission-critical product teams struggling to launch, meet utilization goals, or in need of a complete experience overhaul.

Prior to the Advisory Board, Jason has been a founding-team member through acquisition of two successful Austin-based startups. At WhisperWire, an Austin Ventures-backed organization that built a telecom configuration platform to assist salespeople with technical solution design and context-specific sales mentoring, Jason was responsible for ensuring the flagship product’s design strategy and reported directly to the co-founder William Chan (now co-founder and VP of Product of Iodine Software). In May 2004, WhisperWire was acquired by Convergys Corp.

A Texas native raised on the coast and attempting to live a well-balanced life in South Austin, beyond the design world Jason can usually be found in the nearest body of water. Other passions include his two teenage boys, surfing, paddeboarding, music, travel, strength-training, art, and exploring Austin’s ever-evolving landscape.
