山形県出身、コンセント代表、インフォメーションアーキテクト。2000年頃より日本でのIAコミュニティである、Information Architecture Association Japanを主宰している。IAAJとして、World IA Dayの趣旨に賛同し、初年度（2012年）から日本での運営主体として毎年開催している（悪天候のため2015年のみ中止）。IA Institute会員。
