Eduardo F. Ortiz is a creative director at the United States Digital Service at the Department of Homeland Security, and has over 13 years of experience as a software engineer, user experience designer, and a front-end developer. 

Eduardo is a co-founder of BKUX, one of the fastest growing design communities in Brooklyn, New York. He is also a local leader for the Interaction Design Association (IxDA) a member-supported organization dedicated to the discipline of interaction design, and a volunteer for the Information Architecture Institute, an organization focused with making information clearer and easier to use. He has spoken at past conferences on topics about measuring user experience, empathy, and team building.
